7 Responses to “BIG “Workouts for Wrestlers” Giveaway!”

  1. Cole Barton Says:

    1) The biggest challenge I face with wrestling technique is takedowns. Why that is is because I’m no fast enough and I don’t get deep enough penetration during my takedown

    2)  How would these Workouts for Wrestlers Specialization Programs help me win more matches? I believe if I had these workouts I would be able to gain strength and better technique through the books and there for I would be better at takedown resulting in me winning more matches.

  2. Glen Kurz Says:

My team is faced with a few challenges, from a technical standpoint. First, my feeder program is just getting their feet under them, so may of the wrestlers that come into my high school room either don’t know anything, or know poor technique that had to be “untaught” and then re-taught. A few other problems are a lack if power, explosiveness, and speed. We have an 11 month a year strength training program, and I’ve even enlisted the services of a “sport-specific” trainer, but we still don’t shoot through our opponents and don’t have enough power to stand up off the bottom. My kids have become physically stronger, but it has not yet translated to the wrestling mat.
I believe that there is something missing in my off-season training program. Each season (pre, in, and post) I tweak what we have done before and try to incorporate as many multi-joint, wrestling-specific exercises as possible, but I’m not sure if we are doing the correct number of sets and reps at the correct time of year. We have purchased a lot of training equipment (tires, sledge hammers, bands, bosu balls, stability balls, kettle bells, and have access to a full weight room. I think this program would help me make sure I am providing my kids with the right exercises at the right times of year.

  3. Matt Kintz Says:

1)The biggest challeng I have is, The leg ride, I am a little shorter than most of my apponents. I have problems getting out of the leg ride, I just ware down. 2) I am a junior an made it to masters the last two years, I seem to be stuck, Love my coaches, But I am looking for the next level, I am looking for any help I can get, Cause it seems as if I’m on my own. thank for all the tips on nutritoin and tecnique, I think I could really benefit from your program.

  4. Josh Thibault Says:

    1. What is the biggest challenge you face with wrestling technique?
I’m not in high school yet, but I’ve been dedicated to making the wrestling team next year, and I’m always working my butt off to become a better wrestler through exercise. I tend to focus much more on my workouts than I do with my wrestling, because of my lack of knowledge towards the sport.

    2. How would these Workouts for Wrestlers Specialization Programs
    help you win more matches?
This book would help me significantly considering I can learn how to wrestle before I make it to high school, and gain a true understanding of the sport through your help. I train on my own, without the help of any others or coaches, except for your website, “Ultimate Wrestling Strength” which has helped a lot, and I hope that I can win this book in order to become even better.

  5. Rob Sanders Says:

    1. As a coach, I notice my wrestlers struggle when they are in on a shot and get stretched out (out of position) and either give up the takedown or a stalemate is called.

    2. Getting stronger, quicker, and more explosive will result in more confidence- leading to more wins.

  6. Vincent Says:

As an 8th grader wrestling first time on varsity would love to get different technques build up my speed and stamina especially now that the periods are longer. I need to work on bottom escapes. I believe the workout for wrestlers will reinforce techniques give me a different outlook on some new ones and help me with my weaknesses to become a better athlete and hopefully help me win states. Thank you for the opportunity.

  7. Ahmed Says:

    1. I think one of the biggest challenge is defense because you see a lot of wrestlers who are great but lack defense like sprawling or getting out of positions thier not used to and that can affect a match dramatically

2.it will help me become faster, stronger, flexable and more agile. Overall a better wrestler and that will help greatly in my matches
